Egyptian actor replaces Mena Massoud in biopic about Yemeni boxer Naseem Hamed.

Egyptian actor Amir El-Masry will star in the biopic "Giant" directed by Rowan Athale about Yemeni boxer Naseem Hamed who will be played by Iranian-American actor Bodhi Koksh. The film, which also stars legendary actor Pierce Brosnan, will tell the story of Hamed's rise to fame from an underprivileged Yemeni family in the UK to becoming a renowned boxing champion. Executive producers Sylvester Stallone and Braden Aftergood from Balboa Productions are also involved in the project, which is set to begin filming in Leeds, England. Originally, all interior designs were going to be shot in Malta, but AGC decided to move the entire production back to the UK. Naseem Hamed was known for his unorthodox boxing style, flashy personality, and devout Muslim faith, but he also faced racism on his way to the top.
