Jolie spent most of 2024 in New York amid her ongoing divorce battle with ex-husband Brad Pitt, and is said to prefer the busy city to living in Los Angeles. However, she must wait until custody and visitation rights are resolved, which is taking a long time. The former couple is also fighting over their joint project, the Château Miraval French vineyard, which they bought together before getting married in 2014. Pitt is currently arguing that he should be given control of the vineyard, as he owns 60% of it, while Jolie owns 40%, with an agreement that she would receive an additional 10%, which has not yet happened. A new court filing by Jolie’s lawyers accuses Pitt of physically mistreating her prior to a 2016 plane incident, according to a new court document. Pitt has not yet responded to the accusation. The former couple has six children together, and have been fighting over custody and the Château Miraval vineyard for some time.
