The Gulf Film Festival, initiated by the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Culture and managed by the Saudi Arabian Film Council, has kicked off in Riyadh. The five-day event, ending on 18 April, invites guests from across the GCC and attending the festival are politicians, cultural figures and media influencers. The Festival is a continuation of an important cultural collaboration between GCC nations, in which the organisation seeks to enrich domestic cinema, and provide creative platforms where talented filmmakers can share their works. The event will show 29 films, host three training workshops and six cultural seminars.
