Meanwhile, British action star Jason Statham is teaming up with Stallone's close friend for a new film project titled "Levon's Trade," with Stallone set to write the screenplay. Stallone recently faced harsh criticism from critics of the new installment of his "Expendables" movie franchise. The film's low box office returns led to a short run in theaters. Stallone is also set to star in a remake of his 1990s film "Cliffhanger," produced and distributed by Amazon.
