Egyptian actor Salah Al-Saadani passed away at the age of 81 after a long struggle with illness. Al-Saadani was one of the most prominent actors in Egypt, having worked in theater, cinema and television drama for decades, and gained iconic roles including "Suleiman Ghanem" in the famous Egyptian TV series "Layali Al-Helmia", "Hassan Al-Nuamani" in "Arabesque", and "Yasin" in the TV series "Qasr Al-Shawq" based on the trilogy by the late Egyptian writer Naguib Mahfouz. Al-Saadani's last role was in the TV series "Al-Qasirat" which was aired during Ramadan in 2013. He also appeared in many notable films, including "A Song on the Way", "Zaman Hatem Zahran" and others.
