The Technical Engineer is responsible for monitoring and supporting 24/7 television channel transmission operations to ensure continuous, stable, and high-quality on-air broadcasting across all technical systems. The role involves overseeing broadcast infrastructure, transmission systems, playout platforms, networks, and associated operational technologies to maintain uninterrupted service delivery. The Technical Engineer proactively monitors system performance, identifies and resolves technical issues, performs preventive and corrective maintenance, and provides technical support for broadcast operations. Working closely with Broadcast Operations, MCR, Playout, Traffic, Programming, Media Management, and Engineering teams, the position ensures compliance with technical standards, operational procedures, and service level requirements. The role plays a critical part in maintaining broadcast reliability, supporting live and recorded transmissions, managing technical incidents, and ensuring all broadcast services operate efficiently and effectively across satellite, terrestrial, IP, and digital distribution platforms.

Monitor TV channels, live feeds, playout and transmission systems. Operate and support MCR broadcast infrastructure including automation, routers, servers, multiviewers, and monitoring systems. Troubleshoot technical issues related to video, audio, signal loss, synchronization, and transmission. Coordinate with Engineering, IT, Scheduling, and Satellite teams to ensure uninterrupted broadcast operations. Support preventive maintenance, system testing, and incident reporting. Ensure compliance with broadcast quality and operational standards.

Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Engineering, Electronics, Communications, IT, or related field. Experience in broadcast operations, MCR, playout, or transmission environments. Good understanding of broadcast workflows, SDI/IP systems, and TV transmission chains. Experience with broadcast automation and playout systems is preferred. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a 24/7 shift-based operation environment. Preferred Experience TV channels or satellite broadcast operations. Multi-channel broadcast environments. Experience with systems such as Imagine Communications, Evertz, Pebble Beach, Harmonic, or similar platforms. Knowledge of OTT, FAST channels, or cloud playout environments is a plus.
