The Playout Officer is responsible for managing and monitoring on-air playout activities, ensuring the accurate and timely transmission of scheduled content across all broadcast platforms. The role involves executing daily playlists, monitoring transmission systems, implementing schedule changes, and maintaining broadcast continuity while adhering to operational, technical, and commercial requirements. The Playout Officer works closely with Traffic, Scheduling, Programming, MCR, Engineering, and Content teams to ensure smooth channel operations, uninterrupted transmission, and compliance with approved schedules and broadcast standards.

Operate and monitor playout systems and daily transmission playlists. Ensure accurate airing of programs, commercials, promos, and live events. Monitor video, audio, subtitles, and overall on-air quality. Handle live switching, schedule changes, and emergency transmission updates. Coordinate with Scheduling, MCR, Media Ingest, Traffic, and Engineering teams. Identify, troubleshoot, and escalate technical or operational issues. Maintain transmission logs and operational reports.

Requirements Experience in playout, MCR, or broadcast operations is preferred. Basic understanding of broadcast workflows and transmission systems. Ability to work in a fast-paced 24/7 live broadcast environment. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays. Preferred Experience Experience with playout automation and broadcast systems. Knowledge of live transmission operations and playlist management. Familiarity with multi-channel broadcast environments and satellite operations is a plus.
